I'm an aunt!! My stepsister, Ashley, welcomed her little boy into the world this morning! My dad was sending me text updates as of 4:45am.  I'm not sure of the exact time he was born, but he is 8lbs 3oz! She was told that she was going to have little baby, but it turns out he was pretty big!! Go Ashley!! They wanted to keep the gender a surprise, but she really hoped for a boy, and she got it! I knew she was having a boy the whole time! Now our parents get one of each grandchildren in a month!! Woo Hoo!! I'm hoping next week will be my turn!!

36 weeks!

I had my 36 wk appointment this morning and actually got checked! I was hoping to hear that *something* was happening.  That just wasn't the case.  Looks like the baby is quite content in my ribs for now.  I'm not dilated but my cervix is soft, whatever that means.  The doctor said that if I was to go into labor tomorrow, he would be fine with it, so that's good to hear! I don't think that's happening though.  I'm still hoping for 2 more weeks because we have pregnancy pictures scheduled for June 13th.  If she comes before that.... no pictures... eh... I'd rather have the baby anyway.  

I did get to spend 2 hours waiting on base to change my name with them again.  2 hours to be seen for 5 minutes and take a new picture.  Hmm... AND... the stupid lady at the ID place told me out of no where "If you want to come back later you can retake your picture."  WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?!  That was even BEFORE I took my picture!!  I looked at her, then Will, then her again... with a confused face.  She then said "Sometimes with that (looking at my belly) your face swells."  Ummm... thanks for the advice.  Will looked at me and smirked because he knew that I was shocked by what she said to me.  How about I make that decision?!  I was offended!  I just told her that I already have chubby cheeks, but I'm not sure that my face is swollen, thanks. Ewww.... whatever.  Who says that?! Although, my picture is not great... I look cross-eyed for some reason... joy.  I don't usually have to show my military ID anyway.

Bah!! I'm not okay with naming her Charlotte or Charli anymore.  I don't like it anymore!! I don't know what's going on! We did finally come up with  a new one that feels right, and we're going to stick with it, but we're NOT going to tell it until she's born, due to my rapid change of heart with names! Sorry!

What a day

My day...

Well it started when I was up from 2am -- 5am with a gigantic headache.  That sure was fun.  I had planned on getting to Social Security about 8:45am since it opened at 9am, but instead I woke up at 8:45am due to the staying up until 5am.

Then I had the glorious wait at Social Security from 10am - 11:30am.  That was wonderful.  It was packed and I only had someone offer me a seat when I had only 4 more numbers to wait through. People are so nice.  Here I am standing, 8 months pregnant and people just look at me. Awesome.

Then headed to my doctor, turns out Wilmot goes down to one lane (the lane I'm already in) and the person behind me was a jerk and wouldn't let the person in who needed to get in our lane.  Thus, he decides to basically ride on top of my car to not let the poor person in.  This causes him to bump me.  How sweet.  Does he follow me to check it?  Nope.  Luckily, there was no damage at all.  But still!! I got his license plate number just in case there was any damage.  

So,  finally I got to my doctor's appointment.  I had my Group B Strep test, but I won't know the results until next week.  The doctor said if I do have it, all they'll do is give me antibiotics through IV when I give birth.  She also estimated that Charli is already up to 6 lbs! That's exciting!! They said that she'll probably be around 8lbs when she's born! 

Ready for baby!

We're officially ready for Charli to come.  Well... ready in the physical sense.  I think mental and emotional too... After I got home from my last day of school (WOO HOO!!) we went to Babies R Us and Target to get the last of the stuff we need.  We got a swing, monitor, bath, more Dreft, more Johnson & Johnson lavender wash stuff, a lamp, and hangers.  I think that's about it.  Probably no, but oh well... that's the gist of things.  

When we came home I was anxious to set up the pack and play that my 1st grade team got us!! Here it is!! It took me a little while but I did it!! (With only 2 minor helps from Will!)  It's set up in our room, on my side! All it's waiting for is a beautiful baby girl!!

Now onto the baby stuff! I think we're pretty much ready... I still have the church baby shower next Saturday, and hopefully my registry will get taken care of, but we have a lot already!
